Robot Laser Cutting Machine
Robotic laser cutting machine is an automated equipment that combines industrial robots and laser cutting technology. It is widely used in the precision processing of metals, plastics, composite materials and other materials.
Core components
Industrial robots
Usually use 6-axis articulated robots (such as ABB, KUKA, FANUC and other brands), which are highly flexible and can perform complex 3D path cutting.
The load capacity needs to match the weight of the laser cutting head (generally 5-20kg).
Laser generator
Fiber laser (mainstream choice): suitable for metal cutting (such as stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum), power range 500W-20kW, high efficiency and simple maintenance.
CO₂ laser: suitable for non-metallic materials (acrylic, wood), but gradually replaced by fiber laser.
YAG laser: used for thin metal or special materials.
Cutting head
Contains focusing lens, nozzle, capacitive height sensor (automatic focus), and some are equipped with blowing system (assisted slag removal).
Optional swing head (angle adjustment during 3D cutting).
Control system
The robot controller (such as KUKA's KRC4) is integrated with the laser control system and needs to support external axis synchronization and real-time path correction.
The software usually includes offline programming (such as RobotMaster) and CAD/CAM interface.
Auxiliary system
Cooling system (water cooling/air cooling), dust removal device, safety protection (grating, emergency stop)
